Strengthening participation. Promoting transparency. Building accountable institutions.
At Beity, we believe that good governance begins with informed and engaged communities and institutions that are responsive to people’s needs. We work to strengthen transparency, accountability, and meaningful citizen participation in public life, creating opportunities for individuals and communities to contribute to decisions that affect them.
Through collaboration with municipalities, public institutions, civil society organizations, and local stakeholders, we promote participatory approaches that improve public services, strengthen dialogue, and encourage shared responsibility. Our work places particular emphasis on women’s and youth participation in decision-making, gender-responsive governance, social accountability, and inclusive public leadership.

Beity’s commitment to governance extends beyond individual project cycles. As a founding member of the Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in the Arab World (ANSA-AW), we have contributed to advancing accountability practices, knowledge exchange, and citizen engagement across the region.
Our longstanding engagement includes community consultations, training on social accountability tools such as Community Scorecards, support to citizen-led initiatives, and collaboration with municipalities, educational institutions, and civil society actors.
